Grateful for my Sponsor Poker Chip

A sponsor is many things to us.  Trusted friend, Spiritual mentor, Life coach, and best friend.  The life we lead before getting sober is one of loneliness and despair.  We were headed for death, but not physical, the death was spiritual in nature.  We find our sponsor in sobriety and get to work.  They walk us through the 12 steps and share their experience, strength and hope with us.  Most importantly, our sponsors lead us into the loving hands of a higher power.    

This sleek black and gold chip was created with gratitude in mind.  The gratefulness we all have for being brought back to life and putting our hands into Gods.  The front of the chip is a display of what it looks like to be pulled through rock bottom.  The strength of two people working the program.  Our primary purpose is to stay sober and carry the message. 

The back of the coin is simple and says it all.  Thank you for putting my hand into God’s hand.   That is the biggest gift we can give and receive.  Alcoholics are selfish, and self-centered, without the help of a higher power to lead us and guide us, most of us will surely drink again.   Thank you to all the sponsors out there putting us into God’s loving hand.
